BICMA is updating its registers:-
Solicitors and Insurers supporting the Rehabilitation Code
Rehabilitation Providers adhering to the BICMA Quality Standards
When the Rehabilitation Code was first published BICMA created what are still the only registers of solicitors and insurers supporting it and displayed their details on its website www.bicma.or.uk
Similarly, when BICMA developed the only existing set of generic standards for providers of rehabilitation services, it created a register for providers committed to those standards
For the solicitor and insurer registers there are two reasons to update now –
- first to identify in each organization the main Rehabilitation Contact to whom anyone using the website could be referred. This should be the person responsible for implementing the organization’s policy in relation to rehabilitation
- second to add useful information not currently shown, such as website and email addresses
We have written to all currently registered solicitors and insurers to invite an update
For both those registers and the one for Rehab Providers there is now an online facility to facilitate the process of getting registered and ensuring that the information is up to date
